The squishiness of our laws

Recently, people have started to notice how our laws are becoming more and more "mushy". This leads to Lawyer feeding grounds. Whether for personal law or corporate law, laws, being written by old/practicing lawyers leave enough wiggle room for lawsuits to be relatively easy to win. It's almost impossible to not violate some law. Which worries me. Because even if most lawyers or cops or regulators are well-meaning decent people, they can screw your life up with ease, if they want to. And having that much power in any one's hands (including mine if I was in any of those positions) is scary.
