The football team. They are undoubtedly the best soccer team I've seen in my life time, right now.
I think you can say that and say that it's hard to know just how good they are. People talk about the parity of an EPL right now (four teams with in 3 points on the top of the table just before Boxing Day 2010), or Germany, at least until this year. And I think we can all agree Serie A is not as good as it used to be in the 90s. Barca is ten points clear of third place in La Liga, after only 16 games. Also, World Cup 2010 wasn't exactly the best played World Cup in history (second lowest goal scored average in WC history, Spain won it while scoring 8 goals in seven games). So maybe football is at a low tide, and Barcelona just doesn't have any competition, because there is not enough quality out there. I don't know how you decide such a thing admittedly, it's just me putting the idea out there. But, they sure are pretty to watch. And that's just one player.
Although, I will say I really dislike hearing how they do it the "right" way because La Masia. Really? They do have the second highest payroll per player in the world for soccer teams. With the Yankees, then Real Madrid, then them for teams in all sports. And if you include every one involved, so all staff and players, they paid out 263 MILLION Euros (about $340 million) on salaries. Though it won't bankrupt them, unless they keep on winning everything and have to pay out the bonuses that go along with that.
